Online Courses

VetSnoot training courses give your veterinary support staff the knowledge and skills required to ensure a positive experience for pet owners, as well as a professional workplace environment.

VetSnoot students and graduates have free access to a community page on the learning platform where they will find tons of information, veterinary resources, links to helpful videos, and newly released VetSnoot lessons. Students can share tips and tricks, ask questions, give and receive support from colleagues, and collaborate with like-minded animal lovers in the veterinary community.

Hey there!

I’m Kasey Ellinwood, founder of VetSnoot Training Academy.

I’m a registered veterinary technician with over 30 years of experience in the veterinary industry, including nursing, practice management, inventory management, veterinary marketing, and sales.

Like many of my students, I walked into my first job in a veterinary practice with little to no veterinary knowledge or skills. It was intimidating to say the least. Learning how to handle patients, doctors, and co-workers all while learning how to do my job was tough. One thing I wasn’t prepared for was how to handle pet parents. Let’s face it, this isn’t always easy and many of us learn client communication skills the hard way.

After many years working in practice, I took some time off to stay home with my young children and it wasn’t until I had to find a veterinarian closer to home that I discovered what it really feels like to be on the other side of the exam table.

The communication gap between veterinary professionals and pet parents all came to light. It was this experience that led me to create VetSnoot. I’m super excited to help veterinary professionals create exceptional client and patient experiences and have fun while doing it!
